A New Era Begins: Let’s Translate Final Orginity Together!

How’s it going? We’re buzzing with excitement here because today marks the beginning of a new era for Final Orginity. That’s right—welcome to the era of multilingualism… and we need your help to make it happen!

You heard that correctly. Over the past few months, we at Ropoductions have set our sights on translating Final Orginity into multiple languages. To make this possible, we’ve integrated the Multi-Language System Plugin, which lets us manage and translate the game’s dialogue.

But here’s the challenge: for translations to work, we first needed to sift through all the messy raw data in our files to extract just the dialogue lines. On top of that, we had to filter out any lines with character names (like "Amy:") so translators could focus purely on the dialogue. Doing this manually would’ve been an impossible task—after all, we’re talking about thousands of lines of code, with only a fraction containing text meant for translation.

Thankfully, we had a superhero to save the day: Gansex. He’s not just a brilliant electronics engineer but also Salamin’s (step)brother (Small world, huh?). Gansex whipped up the first-ever script in Final Orginity’s history, designed to extract every single dialogue line from our raw code. This script even lists the names of all characters in the game, so those can be translated too.

Thanks to Gansex (and his wizardry), we’re now ready to dive into the exciting adventure of translating Final Orginity.

Final Orginity Translation Project

If you’ve ever wanted to get involved in game development in a linguistic way, now’s your chance—become an official translator for Final Orginity!

We’ll be sharing different translation packs over time so anyone can join in and translate into their preferred language. The first translation pack contains 16 maps, with around 3,000 lines of dialogue (about 12% of the current game).

How to Translate Final Orginity

• Download and extract the file.
• (Optional) We’re working with .json files, which can be opened in any text editor. However, we highly recommend using Notepad++ —it’s free, user-friendly, and will make your life a lot easier.
• Translate the character names. Open the Characters.json file, and you’ll see a list of characters. Translate only what’s in quotes on the right-hand side. Don’t touch the part labeled "Char_X".
• Translate the dialogue lines. Open the Maps_1-16.json file. You’ll see all the dialogue lines in this translation pack. Translate only the lines on the right side. It’s SUPER IMPORTANT to keep the opening and closing quotation marks intact, as well as any special characters like \\... or ${...} which are followed by commands or names of variables which should be left alone.
• Send us your translations. Once you’re done, email your modified Characters.json and Maps_1-16.json files to us at ropoductionsgames@gmail.com.

This is a massive undertaking, so we’re aiming to make the translation process collaborative. Thousands of lines need translating, and we believe many minds are better than one. Join the conversation in the Translation-Center channel on our Discord server—you might even find others translating into the same language as you. You can be part of a translation team!

At Ropoductions, we’re thrilled to bring you an official multilingual version of Final Orginity.
